Pop-up Shop Returns to Lordco
A steady stream of vehicles—each more unique than the last—rolled into Checkpoint’s Pop-up Shop 5. For the second year, Checkpoint partnered with Lordco Auto Parts to host the car meet and shopping event at Lordco’s head office and distribution centre in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. The modern, cool-toned building served as the perfect backdrop to vehicles sporting eye-popping colour and one-of-a-kind customization.
This year's event proved to be even more popular than Pop-up Shop 4, with vehicles quickly filling the 300 available parking spaces, forcing many to park on the street. The Vixen, a Kaido racer born from a Datsun 510 chassis, returned to Lordco's parking lot for a second year. Its long-nosed styling and bright red paint turned heads and drew people in for a closer look. High Fever, another silhouette-style Kaido racer and the first in North America, also attracted a crowd around its bright yellow exterior.
The gathering stretched late into the evening, with many staying past 10 PM to browse Japanese import parts and accessories, grab a bite from the food trucks, chat with Lordco representatives about import options, and connect with fellow right-hand-drive enthusiasts.
We curated some of our favourite vehicles from the car meet and shopping event held on August 23, 2025, for you to enjoy.
