In 1997, the first store on Vancouver Island opened, located in the capital city of Victoria, BC. Ten years later, this location underwent an expansion. During that decade, more Island stores were added, stretching our reach from Victoria up to Campbell River and over to Port Alberni.
In 1997, Lordco Auto Parts marked its entry onto Vancouver Island with the opening of its first store in Victoria, the bustling capital city of British Columbia. This strategic location not only served as a gateway to the Island's automotive market but also laid the foundation for a decade of dynamic growth and expansion.
By 2007, our flagship store in Victoria underwent a significant expansion, broadening our capacity to offer an extensive array of auto parts and accessories. This milestone represented more than just physical growth; it emphasized our commitment to enhancing customer service and accessibility outside of BC’s Lower Mainland.

Over the following years, Lordco continued to deepen its roots in Vancouver Island communities. We introduced new stores in Campbell River and Port Alberni. Each new location brought us closer to our customers, ensuring they had convenient access to our comprehensive inventory and expert advice.
This strategic expansion wasn't just about meeting demand—it was about fostering relationships and delivering on our promise of exceptional service and quality products. Whether in urban centers or remote coastal towns, Lordco became synonymous with reliability and excellence in automotive retail.
Today, as we reflect on our journey from that first store in Victoria to becoming a trusted automotive leader on Vancouver Island, we take pride in the relationships we've built and the role we play in our communities. Our growth stands as a testament to our ongoing commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and serving as a reliable partner for all automotive needs.
This 1965 Buick Skylark dubbed Matilda is an impressive piece of 60’s history with a few modernized twists to make it the perfect summer cruiser. A built 383 cubic inch stroker done by Jeffrey Schiebe keeps this car thumping from one spot to the next. The Eagle stroker kit, World Products heads, Comp Cams XE268H camshaft, and Quick Fuel 750 carburetor are only a few of the many parts that help light those tires up with a push of the throttle.

Without a solid drivetrain, that 383 power would be hampered, that is why Matilda is equipped with a 700R4 transmission, B&M 2500 stall converter, Shiftworks four-speed shifter, and 3.73 gears. Improving the ride quality and performance by a significant margin was done through QA1 coilovers on all four corners of the car, outfitted with their sway bars and control arm braces as well.

The Foose chrome wheels and sequential taillights tie the beautiful blue paint together complementing the chrome touches perfectly. Tony, the owner, has had this car for nine years and decided to reach out to Jeffrey to have him put in the time two years ago, transforming the car entirely. Impressively, Tony has met four of the previous owners since the vehicle made its way into British Columbia from California.
