Many restorations start with simple repairs that quickly become something much bigger. For Dusty of Silver Skagit Speed Shop, a 1964 Chevrolet C10 started in the same way but quickly became so much more.

A customer brought the truck to Dusty about two and a half years ago for a sunroof removal and some additional bodywork.



Once Dusty and his team began digging into the truck, they discovered larger issues that turned the project into a full restoration. The customer decided to take the opportunity to make the C10 truly one of a kind.

The finished truck features a 350 Small Block Chevy, complemented by a carefully coordinated exterior and custom touches throughout. One of the standout details is the engine, which Dusty and his team finished to match the colour of the truck's exterior, giving the entire build a cohesive look that really makes it pop.

For Dusty, the C10 holds an extra special place in the history of Silver Skagit Speed Shop. It was one of the first vehicles built at the shop's new location, giving Dusty and his team the opportunity to get creative and fabricate several custom pieces specifically for the truck.

Lordco Auto Parts has also been part of Dusty's automotive journey for two decades. The C10 project involved Lordco in everything from paint and bodywork to machine work, engine assembly, equipment and hydraulics. Dusty's go-to brand from Lordco Auto Parts is ACDelco, and his relationship with Lordco goes back even further. He previously worked at the company.

This 1964 C10 represents not only the owner's vision and the craftsmanship of Silver Skagit Speed Shop, but also an important early chapter in the story of a new speed shop.
