BC Lions Show N' Shine Presented by Lordco Auto Parts
The sun chased away the morning rain clouds and welcomed excited crowds to the first-ever BC Lions Show N’ Shine, presented by Lordco Auto Parts, on Saturday, August 16.
Attendees admired sleek supercars, mighty muscle cars, timeless classics, towering lifted trucks, and pristine imports.
Local band Chronicles of False Creek kept the atmosphere buzzing with rock covers from the 60s to today, while the BC Lions Felions Dance Team—joined by team mascot Leo the Lion—kept the energy high.
The Show N’ Shine truly offered something for everyone. Young children waited to be transformed into superheroes and fairytale characters at the face-painting booth and burned off pent-up energy in the BC Lions bouncy house.
Guests of all ages made their way to the Lordco Auto Parts booth, attracted by free football-themed giveaways and the opportunity to strike a pose in the photo booth.
The biggest booth draw, however, was Lordco's ultimate outdoor prize package, valued at over $1,000 and featuring outdoor goods and a portable propane fire pit from well-loved, Canadian-owned brands KUMA Outdoor Gear and Outland Living.
The sun shone extra bright that day on Show N' Shine attendee and BC Lions fan Dave Cole of Surrey, BC. Cole was selected by random draw as the winner of the prize package. Dave was not the only winner that day. Fans cheered the Lions on to a 36–18 victory over the Montreal Alouettes—a perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
