Lordco & Vancouver Canucks Celebrate 5th Annual Minor Hockey Contest Winners
Minor hockey plays a vital role in communities across British Columbia, bringing kids together, building teamwork, and fostering a lifelong love of the game. At Lordco Auto Parts, supporting grassroots sports has always been important to us — which is why we’re proud to celebrate the 5th Annual Lordco Minor Hockey Contest, in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks.
This year’s contest ran from October 14 to November 14 and once again saw an overwhelming response from teams across the province. With 4,261 entries submitted, it’s clear just how meaningful programs like this are for minor hockey families across B.C.
$7,500 Awarded to B.C. Minor Hockey Teams
Through the contest, Lordco awarded a total of $7,500 to three deserving minor hockey teams to help offset expenses such as ice time, equipment, travel, and registration fees.
“Parents invest an incredible amount of time and money to give their kids the chance to play hockey and have fun with their teammates,” said Daniel Le Page, Marketing Manager at Lordco Auto Parts. “We want to do our part by giving back and helping offset some of the high costs that come with putting kids through the game.”
Lordco is proud to congratulate this year’s contest winners:

A Special Skate at Rogers Arena

To cap off the contest, the three winning teams were invited to a memorable skate at Rogers Arena, home of the Vancouver Canucks, on December 4. For many of the players, stepping onto NHL ice was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For others, it was meeting Kirk McLean, goalie for the Vancouver Canucks from 1987 to 1998, including the 1994 Stanley Cup finals.
“Being able to have all three winning teams on the ice together with their families for the second year in a row has been amazing,” Le Page said. “For the kids to skate on the same ice where they watch their heroes compete all season long must be an unbelievable feeling.”
Supporting Grassroots Hockey

Lordco is proud to continue its partnership with the Vancouver Canucks to support minor hockey across British Columbia. Grassroots hockey thrives because of dedicated families, volunteers, and communities, and initiatives like Lordco’s minor hockey contest help ensure young athletes can keep playing the sport they love.
Thank you to every team that applied this year, and congratulations again to our 2025-2026 winners. We look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting minor hockey for years to come.
