November - 2024 Limited Edition Car Calendar

2024 Nov 25th

The car was in poor shape with high mileage, a blown head gasket, and clear coat failure across all areas of the body. The restoration process began right away with CG Motorsports refreshing the top end alongside the entire cooling system. After the car returned home, it was time for disassembly, removing all the necessary pieces, including the windows.

In 2019, Lordco Auto Parts achieved a significant milestone by expanding beyond its home province of British Columbia and opening its first store in Calgary, Alberta. This first Alberta location marked the beginning of Lordco's expansion into a new market after 45 years of successful operations in BC. The Calgary store, located in the former Sears warehouse building on Glendeer Circle, is an impressive 45,000-square-foot location. It features a well-stocked 12,500-square-foot retail area, including a dedicated truck centre, and a vast storage area housing hundreds of brands and thousands of parts.

Since this initial expansion into Alberta, Lordco has continued its growth in the province. By 2021, the company had opened additional stores in Calgary and Edmonton. The growth continued into 2023, with new locations in Airdrie and Red Deer. Today, Lordco operates six stores in Alberta, serving customers across the province.

The original Calgary store remains the largest of Lordco's Alberta locations, showcasing the company's commitment to the market. It offers a wide range of products, from automotive parts and accessories to truck, RV, and marine supplies, catering to both automotive professionals and enthusiasts. This expansion has allowed Lordco to bring its reputation for exceptional customer service and extensive product selection to a broader audience in Western Canada, now totaling ninety stores across BC and Alberta.

Another iconic piece of German machinery for November is this 1995 BMW M3, originally from Tacoma Washington with Tavish purchasing it in 2018.

A respray from Black Cherry Auto Works was set in motion, painting it the mesmerizing white it is today. Tavish brought the vehicle back home so he could begin reassembling everything and installing new trim, gaskets, and suspension components with all original parts. But something was missing, the performance of the M3 left something to desire. Tavish installed KW coilovers and BBS LM wheels with a fresh set of rubber to improve the feel of the car. To make the vehicle his own Tavish committed to styling the car with GT and LTW parts such as the adjustable front splitter, wing, and motorsport seatbelts. Lastly, a full interior refresh was done with black leather including the door cards and a suede headliner.
