Smoke, Fire & Thunder Roars Back to Mission Raceway Park
Mission Raceway Park was alive with the sights, sounds, and raw power of Lordco Auto Parts, Smoke, Fire & Thunder. The annual showcase of drag racing and automotive entertainment once again delivered a weekend fans won’t soon forget.
For over three decades, Lordco Auto Parts has proudly supported Mission Raceway and its marquee summer event, demonstrating a deep commitment to the local racing community. This year, Lordco’s presence was bigger than ever, with two sponsored drag cars taking to the track: Tom Katinic of Maple Ridge, BC, and Chevy Reeves of Edmonton, AB, better known online as Helluvachevy.
Competing in the Pro Mod class in the 1/8-mile category, Reeves impressed during the preliminary trials, clocking a blistering 3.7596 seconds at 197.46 mph—one of the fastest runs of the event spanning August 21-24, 2025.
Spectators were treated to an action-packed lineup featuring the Street Outlaws, jet cars, Pro Mods, and Doorslammers. Fans also witnessed Mission Raceway Park’s new No Time Index class, Limited Street, and Top Comp.
A brand-new Lordco sign, designed and printed completely in-house, made its Smoke, Fire & Thunder debut after a recent installation over the starting line.
Spanning 30 metres in length and crafted from 26 panels, the massive display features Katinic’s 1968 Chevrolet Camaro.

With fans packing the stands and lining the fences, the energy was electric–proof of how much this event means to the local motorsport community. Between the thrilling performances on the dragstrip and Lordco’s massive new signage framing the action, Smoke, Fire & Thunder once again celebrated speed, community, and tradition, fueled by Lordco’s ongoing support.
