Use aluminum tape to hold broken plastic parts together while you do your plastic welding. This tape is heavy and thick (4 mil), and it needs to be. When you are repairing a crack in plastic, you need to have it lined up. This aluminum tape will resist the bending forces that could cause misalignment. This roll of aluminum tape is 2 inch (5 cm) wide, 180 ft. (55 meters), and 0.1016 mm thick.

Thick aluminum resists bending.
Strong adhesive sticks well even to polyethylene.
Use as a backing when creating new bumper tabs.
Tape peels easily from backing paper.
