Tee Nuts, also known as insert nut, blind nut or drive-in nut are used in wood to wood and metal to wood applications. They provide permanent machine screw threads in soft or hardwoods and composite materials. Tee Nuts have angled prongs which bite into wood or other porous materials. To install simply drill a hole the size of the barrel of the nut and hammer flush. The Tee Nut is now ready to accept a machine screw threaded fastener for clamping. Bare finish fasteners have low corrosion resistance and are a good choice for indoor and industrial applications.
