Hurst Competition/Plus shifters have been the benchmark of transmission control and race-proven since 1963, and still today are constructed using the same high standards that George instated back then. Hurst Competition/Plus installation kits are custom designed to fit directly into your vehicles, with the least possible modifications, and to give you firm positive shifts every time. This Hurst Competition/Plus installation kit fits various GM vehicles (see below) when using a 1969-1974 Muncie (452, 453) 4-speed transmission. The kit contains everything needed (shifter not included) to install your Competition/Plus shifter to operate a 1969-1974 Muncie (452, 453) transmission. These transmissions can be identified by the fact they use a bolt to secure the shift arm to the shift fork on the transmission. Note: 1963-1968 Muncie (451) transmissions use a stud (with a nut) coming off the shift fork of the transmission to secure the shift arm to the transmission and will require a different installation kit then this one. 1971-1973 Chevrolet Nova without console 1969-1972 Chevrolet El Camino with/without console 1970-1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with/without console 1971-1973 Pontiac Ventura with/without console Various years of Chevrolet/GMC 1/2 ton Pickup - custom installations using these transmissions This kit will fit many GM applications and year ranges of vehicles, both with and without factory consoles and a 1969-1974 Muncie (452, 453) transmission.
