Rein OE Quality Transfer Case Control Motors are made to factory specifications ensuring proper fit, form and function and come complete with mounting hardware! A transfer case is a vital component of today's highly complex AWD drivetrain systems, and the failure of its components such as the transfer case motor, clutches, and bearings is a definite reality. Its job is to constantly synchronize the difference between the rotation of the front and rear axles. Problems arise when this difference in front to rear rotation slips outside of predetermined parameters due to uneven front to rear tire wear, for instance. This excessive difference forces the motor and the clutches to engage more frequently leading to their accelerated wear. This also leads to quicker break down of the transfer case fluid due to additional heat. Therefore, Rein highly recommends its FLDF002 OE transfer case fluid when replacing the transfer case motor.
