The RaceQuip Youth single-layer SFI-1 racing suit is made from Pyrovatex® FRC material. Note that sometimes these suits are referred to as fireproof racecar driver's suits, but actually all auto racing safety gear is fire retardant. Pyrovatex® offers the maximum combination of overall flame and heat protection, durability and comfort for the price. This fire retardant cotton based (FRC) material is used because it retains the softness and breathability of cotton and will wick away moisture from the skin. Pyrovatex® fabric is gentle and non-irritating to even the most sensitive skin. The treatment process leaves the exterior surface shiny and supple. Since the Pyrovatex® process combines a chemical agent with the raw cotton fibers to create a bond at the molecular level, with proper care, the suit will retain its flame retardant properties beyond the useful life of the garment. All racing suits are assembled with heavy-duty, multi-needle, over-lock safety stitch machines to provide exceptional seam strength. RaceQuip suits feature a high quality heavy duty Nomex® backed brass zipper installed with a double overlap for a more secure front opening. Stylish contrasting armband stripes match the full-length leg stripes. The black accents: high back collar, leg and arm cuffs, and epaulets give the RaceQuip youth driving suit a unique look and style. Add to this the pleated back panel for freedom of movement, and boot cuff legs, and you have an SFI-1 kid's driver's suit that provides an outstanding value. Designed with younger drivers in mind who race NHRA Jr. Dragsters, Quarter Midgets, Cage Karts and other types of competition series that require an SFI Certified driving suit. Exceeds SFI 3.2A/1 specs with a TPP rating of 11. Available as a black suit with black, red, purple, orange, or pink trim in sizes from Child 2X-Small to Child 2X-Large (refer to size chart).
